Halloween can be spooky or it can be fun for your dogs or it can be spooky fun! We have three fun things to do with your dog on Halloween to assure he has the best time ever! There is no reason adults or children need to have all of the fun on Halloween, is there? We don’t think so.
We’ve put together three things that we think you and your dog will enjoy this Halloween. Some of these fun activities can be enjoyed before, during or after Halloween!
Three Fun Things To Do With Your Dog On Halloween
A Howl-o-Ween party. Invite your friends and their dogs over for a fun non-spooky party! You can award gifts (dog treats, of course!) for the best-dressed, cutest, scariest or funniest costumes. Naturally, every dog is going to win a prize! Serve up human treats as well as pumpkin, squash or apple treats for the pups in attendance. If your dog is scared of the little trick-or-treaters who will be coming to your house once the sun goes down, you may want to have your Howl-o-Ween party in the afternoon.
A winery tour. Okay, this may not be a Halloween treat, but it is an autumn festivity. Many breweries and wineries are pet-friendly and pet-welcoming. Grab your pup, your friends and schedule a winery tour. Make sure you choose a designated driver before you begin the event. Enjoy your winery or brewery tour safely. Bring treats, water and other items your dog will need to enjoy the day. Don’t forget the poo bags!
A walk in the woods. There is nothing better than the crunch of leaves beneath your feet or paws. The crisp, brisk smell of autumn is a welcome break (for many) from the heat and humidity of the summer. If your dog is a senior or gets cold easily, bundle her up in a jacket before you head out. When you have your dogs with you, you never walk alone. Having your dog at your side and enjoying nature together is a great way to bond, to get in shape and to just relax and unwind. You and your dog will also be getting in shape and being healthier because of your walks!
