©Dog is GoodWhen I agreed to become a puppy raiser, I took on the responsibility of ensuring  BOLO received regular veterinary care.  But before BOLO ever joined our Dog is Good family, I had mentioned our intent to launch The Bolo Project to Michelle Russillo,  a business mentor from SCORE Orange County.  Eager to help us, she immediately put me in touch with Dr. Tia Greenberg, the head veterinarian at Westminster Veterinary Group.  As often happens in a small world, I already knew Dr. Greenberg and the wonderful work she provides in animal care.  When I asked if she might consider sponsoring BOLO’s vet care, Dr. Greenberg quickly offered to help. Those who know Dr. Greenberg would not be surprised to learn this. Her commitment to animal welfare goes well beyond the medical care she and her friendly, professional team provide.

©Dog is GoodThree years ago, Dr. Greenberg founded WAGS Pet Adoption to fill a huge need in the city of Westminster, CA. The shelter’s intent was  to combat animal cruelty, rescue neglected pets, provide treatment to sick and injured strays, and educate the community about humane issues. What makes this no-kill shelter extra special is the fact that it is fully integrated into Dr. Greenberg’s clinic, Westminster Veterinary Group. The innovative program at WAGS combines compassionate veterinary care with animal welfare management.  Their multi-dimensional family-to-pet matching tool produces consistently happy adoptions and has resulted in 800 pet  adoptions this year.  The state-of-the-art facility and incredible staff and volunteers are dedicated to saving animal’s lives and educating the community about humane, responsible pet care.   Dr.Greenberg and the entire team at both WAGS and Westminster Veterinary Group have an effusive love for all the animals they serve, and they have empowered their community to save animals.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

Dr. Greenberg’s passion to serve in the best interest of animals was quite obvious in BOLO’s first routine check up.  Her genuine joy shined through as she played and interacted with BOLO.  Where most dogs can be frightened/anxious during a visit to a vet, Dr.Greenberg had BOLO relaxed, calm, and ultimately sleeping in her arms.©Dog is Good

Thank you Dr. Greenberg for loving BOLO as much as we do, and for providing the exceptional care that will help her be a healthy,  Leader Dog.
